Mental Health Project Worker

Hours: Part Time (24 Hrs per week)

Contract: Fixed Term 1 Year (to be extended subject to funding)

Closing Date: 16th January 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Project Worker to join our team based in Stonehaven. Working as a Mental Health Project Worker, you will take an active role in the development and facilitation of group and 1:1 support activities that will help clients develop the skills and resources they need to better manage their mental health and well-being. 

Skills and Experience Required

· A good level of relevant educational attainment in at SVQ level 4 or equivalent.

· I.T. skills to a good standard in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Experience working in a Mental Health service or in another area of support work in either a paid or voluntary capacity.

· A sound knowledge and understanding of the SSSC Codes of Practice and National Care Standards.

· SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or willingness to work towards.

· Ability to work well in a team setting but can also work autonomously.

· Full clean driving licence and access to own car is desirable.

With over 35 years’ experience supporting people in the Kincardine and Mearns area of Aberdeenshire, Pillar Kincardine is a trusted and established local mental health charity dedicated to providing vital community based support services for people age 16+ experiencing emotional crises or long term mental health challenges. As we enter an exciting period of growth, we are looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help shape the next phase of our organisation’s development.
